Shamari Benton serves as the Chief Financial Officer for Boardwalk Capital Holdings, LTD, bringing over 12 years of extensive experience in investment management, corporate finance, and strategic planning. A seasoned finance professional, Shamari’s career began in equity research and fixed-income investments at renowned institutions such as Tocqueville Asset Management, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan, and RBC Capital Markets. There, he honed his expertise in credit analysis, portfolio management, and strategic asset allocation, building a strong foundation in financial analysis and investment strategy that he now leverages to drive value for Boardwalk Capital Holdings.

Shamari transitioned into corporate finance and M&A, driving growth and profitability for companies such as Lear Corporation, Nomi Health, and HelpPays. At Lear, he played a key role in strategic initiatives, mergers, acquisitions, and investor relations, leveraging his expertise in financial modeling and strategic assessment to support high-impact decisions. At Nomi Health, a rapidly scaling unicorn startup, Shamari developed innovative financial solutions that enabled the company to navigate competitive landscapes and sustain growth.

Most recently, Shamari served as Vice President of Financial Planning and Analysis and Investor Relations at Real Good Foods, a public company, where he led substantial financing and equity capital initiatives. His leadership in financial strategy and investor communication positioned Real Good Foods for market expansion and long-term growth, including managing high-stakes negotiations with activist investors and optimizing product portfolios. 

Shamari holds an MBA with a concentration in Strategy and Technology from the University of New South Wales and a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science with a focus on Public Administration from Central Michigan University, where he also triple minored in Business, Ethics, and Leadership.
